Our High Dependency Patient Transport Team

 

At 25 Eight Medical, we have dedicated teams of clinicians and ambulance crews ready to provide the highest quality HDU (High-Dependency) patient transport.

 

Our HDU ambulances are manned by the appropriate grade of clinical staff. Their experience, technical know-how and training prepares them for any challenges that might arise.

Blue light HDU and frontline A&E vehicles staffed by Paramedics or technicians are available for specialist transfers such as cardiac, infant, or blue light transfers between hospitals on both a individual journey basis or for daily shifts. We do not advocate high-speed journeys unless they are strictly indispensable to the patient’s care, and we deploy the use of blue-lights and sirens only when it aids a progressive journey, in conditions of traffic congestion and in situations where the patient’s condition demands it.

We also provide both blue light and non-blue light options for patients that only require monitoring.

Intra-hospital or Inter-hospital transport of critically ill patients from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a significant area of patient care that requires precise control and management. We understand the necessity and the requirements required for critically ill patients to be safely secured and continuously monitored. We provide transport for hospitals, surgeries, care homes and one-off ad-hoc bookings or part of long-term contracts.
